The tragic attacks in Oslo and at Utøya in Norway on July 22nd 2011

23 July 2011

Norway is in morning after the terrible attacks that killed 77 people.

While we are joined together in grief of those who have lost their lives, our government and inhabitants are sending a message back to the world. That one man’s acts of terrorism will not break a nation’s pride and dignity. The week following the attacks, the Norwegian people took part in the largest march since the second World War, a march for democracy, solidarity and tolerance.

Sympathy and compassion stream towards us from all over the world. The Norwegian Chamber of Commerce want to express our deep gratitude for the condolences we have received from our friends in Latvia and all over the world. The picture shows the entrance of the Norwegian Embassy in Riga, Monday July 24th.
