The establishment of a Norwegian owned support office in Riga is part of the company's strategy to centralize important functions as well as shifting from outsourcing to insourcing. The support functions will now be centralized and executed through Norwegian Air Resources Latvia. The company has just started the recruitment process in Riga for support functions within customer care. Norwegian aims at scaling the operation in line with market demand and will perform several service functions by the end of 2020. Besides the opportunity of being part of Norwegian's exciting journey towards "New Norwegian", Norwegian offers competitive salaries and benefits.
"We are very happy about the establishment of a Norwegian owned company in Riga and to gain a stronger foothold in Latvia. This is an important strategic step for us to assume full control of vital support services to our customers and staff. The effort to centralize these capabilities within the Norwegian organization will allow for direct communication with our own personnel, which is decisive for succeeding in building the New Norwegian. We look forward to welcoming new colleagues to the Norwegian family," says Knut Olav Høeg, EVP IT, Supply Chain and Process Improvement at Norwegian.
