He also thanked all NCCL members for their continued active involvement in NCCL work and activities. At the start of the new season, NCCL has close to 100 members in good standing with ten new members joining since the start of 2022. On average NCCL organises about 30 to 35 events a year, creating opportunities for members to meet each other, as well as high-level government officials and business leaders, exchange experience and know-how and also get to know Norwegian culture and have some fun!

In her welcome remarks Norwegian Ambassador Ine Måreng emphasized the role of "Team Norway'' in promoting Nordic values and assisting Norwegian business interests. "Supporting Norwegian companies abroad is one of the main priorities of the Norwegian Embassy. We are open to hear your needs and discuss how we, together with the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, may better support your entrance and growth in Latvian and the Baltic market," says the Norwegian Ambassador. Ine Måreng also reminds NCCL members to bring to her attention any obstacles, trends, and changes in regulatory framework that may impede bilateral economic cooperation and trade relations.
