As we count the remaining days to until the end of the tear, NCCL member community and the closest friends on December 15 gathered for the NCCL & Team Norway Christmas party, which was kindly hosted by the Norwegian Embassy in Riga and the Norwegian Ambassador in Latvia Ine Måreng!

It was a night of warm reunion to celebrate the approaching end of the year and embrace the Christmas sopirit! NCCL Chairman Matīss Kukainis together with the NCCL Board members  welcomed guests reflecting on the the past year with some highlights from the past 12 months. The festive mood was boosted by the performance of Ukrainian artist Darja Leleko, who played several songs on the Ukrainian folk instrument bandura.

As a tradition, NCCL organized a Christmas Charity Raffle for the benefit of a charity cause, which this year was decided to be the "Care Mobile" program in Ukraine, launched and implemented by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC Latvija), providing primary medical care to civilians in Ukraine. During the NCCL & Team Norway Christmas party over 1500 EUR were collected in support of this project! With the support of NCCL members, NCCL has donated over 3300 EUR to several charity projects this year!

The "Care Mobile" program in Ukraine was started in March of this year, soon after Russia's gruesome invasion. During this period, ???? assistance has been provided to over 4000 civilians, who have no alternative access to medicine due to Russian attacks and destruction of Ukrainian medical infrastructure. There are many people in need! Let us not forget them in this holiday season!
