In the first 11 months of 2020, Latvia's calendar-adjusted industrial output dropped 2.3 percent at constant prices from the respective period last year, according to the data
released yesterday by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

Manufacturing decreased 1.8 percent and electricity and gas supply was down 8 percent. Meanwhile, an increase of 8.3 percent was recorded in mining and quarrying. In November 2020, Latvia's industrial production quickened by 2.7 percent compared to November 2019, In the mining and quarrying industry output jumped 20.5 percent on growing peat exports and manufacturing picked up 4.3 percent. A drop of 10 percent was recorded in electricity and gas supply as generation of electricity at hydroelectric power plants and gas supply to consumers declined in November 2020.
