Latvia's GDP grows 2.5% in January-September

In the first nine months of 2019, Latvia's calendar non-adjusted gross domestic product grew 2.5 on year at constant prices, LETA was told at the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB). In the nine months of 2019, the value of Latvia's GDP was EUR 22.483 billion in current prices, including EUR 8.061 billion in the third quarter of the year.
CSB representatives informed that in the third quarter of 2019, Latvia's seasonally and calendar-unadjusted GDP grew by 2.9 percent against the respective period a year ago. Compared to the second quarter of 2019, Latvia's seasonally and calendar-adjusted GDP increased 0.7 percent in the third quarter. In the third quarter of this year, there was a significant rise of 29.5 percent in agriculture (mainly in crop production), but in forestry and logging and fishery there was a drop, of 3.7 percent and 18.7 percent respective.
