NCCL Annual General meeting

07 April 2022

Please save the date and join us at the upcoming NCCL Annual General meeting, which will take place in person on April 7 at 16:00 at the "Hotel Bergs" (Elizabetes iela 83/85) in Rīga.

As per NCCL Board decision, all decision making, including NCCL Board elections, Approval of Annual Report, Budget for 2022, Auditor and NCCL membership fees for 2023 will be conducted electronically PRIOR to the in-person meeting on April 7. The electronic ballot along with associated documents will be sent out one week prior to the meeting!

As for the programme of the in-person AGM, in addition to the NCCL report on its financial situation, budget, activities and plans, and introduction of the NCCL Board, we will have two keynote speakers.

Addressing the topic of the war in Ukraine that is on everybody's minds these days, Colonel Bjørn E. Stai, Norwegian Defence attaché to Sweden and Latvia, will join us with a geopolitical security update and give an insight of NATO and Western response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

We will also be joined by Christoffer Sundby, Executive Vice President - Marketing, Sales & Customer Care at Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, with the resilience story of "Rednose Warriors" in the face of crises. Aviation industry is one of the industries that have been most severely impacted by the recent global COVID-19 pandemic. Along with restrictions on international travel, increasing fuel costs, and disruption in international supply chains - aviation has been hit by all. In the midst of all of it, the Norwegian low-cost airline and Norway's largest airline "Norwegian" has managed to turn around, restructure, and recover. Let us hear their resilience story on how they have managed to keep their noses up in the face of ongoing and new unprecedented crises faced by Europe through the past three years.

The formal programme will be followed by a reception and possibility for networking and informal conversations! Many thanks to the Norwegian Embassy in Latvia, "Hotel Bergs" and Orkla Latvija for sponsoring this event!

There are three seats up for election this year. All potential candidates standing for election on the NCCL Board were invited to submit their candidacy by March 21. Please meet three current NCCL Board members that are running for a re-election!
