Mark your calendars and join us us next Friday, October 8, at 9:30 (Latvian Time) for the Morning Coffee with NCCL and an introductory meeting with Mārtiņš Klīve, the newly-accredited Latvia's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, who resumed this post last month. We will also be joined by the Norwegian Ambassador H. E. Kristian Ødeegaard who will share the latest update from the Embassy, situation in Norway, and the situation in Norway and Norwegian - Latvian trade relations

Mr. Klīve's biography

Mārtiņš Klīve is the current Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Kingdom of Norway. Over the course of his career, Mr Klīve has worked in Permanent Representation of the Republic of Latvia to the UN, OSCE and other International Organisations in Vienna and headed several divisions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia - the International Organisations Division of the International Organisations and Human Rights Department, the Southern European and EU Enlargement Division at the European Department. Additionally, he has served as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Latvia to the Council of Europe. More recently, Mr Klīve held the post of Head of the Permanent Representatives Committee II (COREPER II) Division and later Director of the European Union Co-ordination and Policy Department. Mr Klīve holds a Master in Law from VU Amsterdam as well as a Master in Political Science and a Bachelor in History from the University of Latvia.
