Increasing traffic in the Norway – Latvia tourism route

All NCCL members working in tourism promotion and hospitality sector involved in and interested in expanding and activating Norway - Latvia tourism route, join us on February 19 at 12:00 for a roundtable discussion with LIAA and airBaltic representatives. The roundtable will be held at the LIAA office on Pērses street 2. During the meeting you will have the chance of learning about the new direct traffic routes created by airBaltic betweeen Latvia and Norway, as well as about the tourism promotion initiatives launched by LIAA in the Norwegian market.
Tourism is a vital sector in Latvian economy, accounting for 16% of Latvia's service exports. Norway is one of the priority destinations in Latvia's Tourism Export strategy. Starting 2020, Latvian national airline airBaltic is launching two new direct routes between Norway and Latvia! In addition to the currently served year-round Riga-Oslo and summer season Riga-Stavanger route, starting next spring airBaltic will also add direct flights from Riga to Trondheim and Bergen.
In order to ensure exchange of information and advance cooperation in tourism promotion between the two countries, we are inviting NCCL members - tour operators, hotels and other hospitality sector players to join a roundtable conversation on how to achieve the best results in promoting Latvia as a tourism destination in Norway.
