Brexit and Its Economic Implications for Latvia
25 February 2020Thank you for joining us on Tuesday, February 25 at 18:00 at the Clarion Collection Hotel Valdemārs (Kr. Valdemāra iela 23) for a discussion on Brexit and its Economic Implications for Latvia with Morten Hansen, Head of Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Vice Chairman of the Fiscal Discipline Council of Latvia.
While in his presentation Prof. Morten Hansen predicted that the negotiation process between the EU and the United Kingdom is going to be long and complicated, he spoke with confidence that Latvia will not be severely impacted by UK's exit from the EU. The impact may be more felt by separate industries that have a big exposure to the British market, but the impact on overall Latvian economy will be insignificant.
