Digital Transformation in Theory and Practice
02 June 2022
Join us for the first „after hours“ meeting of this year focusing on digital transformation in theory and practice. The meeting will take place next Thursday, June 2, at 18:00 at the Riga Business School in Riga (Skolas iela 11).
Riga Business School has been one of the key drivers of the higher education reform process in Latvia. A new Higher Education law was passed in June 2021. What has changed in Latvia’s higher education system over the past year and what results can we expect in the near future? And what are the new trends in the education and work environment due to the ongoing digitalization and in response to the changes in workstyle due to the recent pandemic, will be some of the topics to be discussed at the meeting.
Our special guest will be Tale Skjølsvik, Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Technology, Art & Design, Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), who specializes in digital transformation affairs. The conversation will be moderated by Claudio Rivera, RBS Deputy Director, Director MIT J-WEL Project and Lead of the Education Work group at the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia.
The meeting is organized in connection with the international conference „Steering Education: From Imagination to Impact", which will take place in Riga on June 3 focusing on the future of education and work.
